Spring and Summer 2022 Updates

My sophomore year at Barnard included many projects and my debut in the professional performing arts world!

I started the year in Columbia University Players’ Production of “The Dead” in the Fall and worked with the LateNite Sketch Comedy group on their winter showcase.

In the Spring, I performed in Barnard College’s Senior Thesis Festival in a production of Toshiki Okada’s “Sonic Life of a Giant Tortoise” which I now consider one of the most formative experiences in my acting career.

Following a successful run and end of the school year, I headed to Paris where I took part in an acting intensive focused on theatre in translation as well as the techniques developed by Peter Brook at Le Bouffe du Nord,  Le Theatre Du Soleil, and the Ecole Internacionale du Theatre du Jacques Lecoq. While studying there, not only did I learn from top international theatre practitioners but also experienced the vibrant and unique theatre scene of Paris.

Upon my return to the States, I participated in The Tank’s play series, PrideFest, in “Possession”, an original play by my good friend Abigail Duclos. Currently, I am interning as a Casting/Literary Assistant at Stageplays Theatre Company in New York!

This will be my last show with the Bishop's theatre department, and while its definitely bittersweet, I'm ready to dive into this show and give it my all.
